UK university to open campus in Thailand
Sounds hopeful.. I wonder how popular it would be... and expensive I imagine...
The University of Central Lancashire has signed a deal with a Thai-based entrepreneur to open a university campus in Bangkok in 2014.
Degrees will be taught in English and validated by the UK university.
Would probably get a few Aussies etc going there.
link here.
BBC News - UK university to open campus in Thailand
There’s something about the stress of teaching, the early mornings, the hour long BTS rides, the little plastic tubs of toxic noodles, the yelling, the pleading, the frustration of having 100-odd young people a day not listen to me. It creates in me a strong need to spend my weekends, painfully short as they are, faded, fucked up, and faded some more.

Also Chinese, Vietnamese, Singaporeans, Koreans...it would be a big Asian draw, as are the UK campuses in Malaysia. Quite a few Africans come here to study, as well.

Good lord Stretch; is your family really that short; or are you as tall as I'm guessing?

Sitichai Charoenkajonkul is the Thai entrepreneur behind it. One can be an 'entrepreneur' in anything, but this guy is a storage and chemical man (Best companies) ... not much to do wiv skools there eh.
Take it he's buying the land and the Uni in England pay for and build it ....that kind of arrangement eh? I reckon that will be the sum of this 'partnership': Sitichai as landowner and rent taker ... the rest for the Uni and all live happily after
Get back on topic!!!! 6 foot five .... bleeding tall ... a lot of metric

This is Thailand. We are teachers in Thailand. Thailand uses metric. So does Europe mainland.
Anyone who uses imperial is American or British older than 48 years old.
