Got a phone call inviting me for an interview today. They seem to be hiring a lot of teachers. Anyone know why? decent school?

Seems quite far away down Rama 9.

    Anyone work there?

That would be the position he was going to be interviewed for - eight months ago.

I never went in the end as I got offered a job nearer home. They phoned me up a few months later inviting me to interview again but I'd already started at my new school.

Had a Skype interview with them and they seemed OK. I always assume no news is good news!

In the old days that might have been true but nowadays too many employers don't bother informing applicants they have been unsuccessful so I always assume no news means I haven't got the job.

International schools will often begin the year in September in my experience.

I take you have extensive international school experience? My school starts in mid-August, as did the last one I worked at. It has been my experience that early to mid-August is common, but that is simply my experience, and I would not think to make a broad overly-general statement about it.

Also, Google is your friend. Pan-Asia classes start the first week of August.
